How is situation about Organic Pigment industry in last month of 2022?
Background
1. China Open: No PCR test ,No Lockdown, the whole China opened in the beginning of Dec.2022 which is good news for the world economy. But nobody can image that COVID spreaded so fast in China , all the company and all the family are involved in , the people can’t go to work , the office have to be closed, production have to be stopped, even the express courier become very slow due to no people can work, so many people are in fever, cough, body aches etc. General speaking, the COVID make everything in the mess. It is just the first round in China, will it come 2nd round,3rd round? Nobody knows it. So everything in China is not sure.
2. Season’s holiday: December and January are holidays time , many countries and many company are in holidays for Christmas and New Year. Then Chinese New Year is coming. Chinese New Year public holidays is 7 days, but most factory holidays are longer than public holidays which will influence the delivery and also time for factory to move the stock.
3.RMB rate: In December, RMB value start going stronger again, as China open and COVID situation better, China economy will be recovering fast , then RMB value will be more stronger which will influence the price by US$ and other currency.
Pigment and its raw material
1.DCB. The price is stable and a little went down in December, we think it will be stable in January of 2023 and after Chinese New Year holidays, the price will be depend on the ONCB price, have the possibility to go up a little as market recovery.
2. AAA series products: This series products price are all keeping stable as its raw material trend stable.
3. Naphthalene series products: This series products price is a little down due to less demand although the cost is high. No power drive the price keeping down even holidays.
4. Other pigment and its raw material: Less market requirement make all the pigment price are keeping steady.
Conclusions: Now all China pigment price are keeping steady and now it is not time to confirm the new order in China. And now the pigment price are almost bottom . After Chinese New Year holidays, it is time to talk the new order. RMB price will not change so much, but US$ and other currency price depend on the rate .
