In September, we attended APCS 2022 Jakarta which was the first coating show we joined during past 3 COVID years. At the same time, there are some changing of pigment raw materials in China, then let us see what will happen in October.

 

1. Gas: There are some chemicals company stopped their European factories  producing due to gas supplying problem. The situation will influence and change the world chemicals products supplying chain much .

2. Currency : As US FA continue their interest added policy, now many countries currency are keeping devaluating , China RMB following as well which can balance some increasing of raw materials. Many developing countries currency devaluations will make world economy recessions more serious.

3. National Day Holidays of China: China will start 7 days holidays for National Day and after that 20th National Congress will be held from Oct. 16. There will be something unpredictable which maybe related to chemical factory stop producing or not.

 

Then let us talking about Pigment and its raw materials .

 

1. DCB: Some ONCB manufacturer unit together and start increasing ONCB price which make DCB manufacturer stop price offering . Many people forecast ONCB will be going down to new low this around, at present it seems the price will be kept higher  than price in September. 

 

2. AAA series products: In September, Aniline price are keeping going up due to its raw material price and some factory stopped for planned annual inspection make the supplying tight. And Acetic Acid price are in floating but still high. So the AAA series products price have already increased for the new order. 

 

3. Naphthalene series products: We have ever told you that this series products sold with lost price in past 2 month , now crude Naphthalene price is up a lot and 2-Naphthol, Bon Acid, Naphthol AS etc. products price have to be following up accordingly.

 

4. Violet 23: Now US carbon black price increased 20% and many US company move to buying from China which make China Carbon Black price going up and Coal Tar price going up as well, the carbazole is made from coal tar products, so carbazole price will be up . 

 

5. Other pigment intermediate : Under the situation of inflation and currency devaluation , most products price will be up and the 4th quarter is traditionally  busy season for the pigment . Then Christmas , 2023 New Year, Chinese New Year will come one by one, holiday will hurt producing and supplying of the industry  consumables.
